Kalki

Who is Kalki?

Kalki’s role hinges on the concept of the four Yugas. Let’s delve into them first.

The Four Yugas:

Satya Yug:

characterized by truth, righteousness (Dharma), and prosperity

Treta Yug:

Dharma begins to decline slightly

Dvapara Yug:

an increase in selfishness and materialism

 Kali Yug:

Considered the current age, marked by darkness and ignorance. Roughly began 5,000 years ago.

Kalki to the Rescue:

Kalki is foretold to appear at the end of the Kali Yug to defeat evil forces, usher in a new Satya Yug, and restore balance.

Kalki is the final and tenth avatar of Lord Vishnu. (and he has a pretty great track record of restoring balance)

The Anatomy of Kalki:

Sword represents the destruction of evil and injustice

In simpler attire, emphasizing his spiritual power rather than physical might

Shown riding a white horse named Devadatta, symbolizes purity and swiftness in his mission.
